As the Nigerian entertainment industry continues, in all its glory, to attract various accolades and financial returns from different quarters, we take out time to honour some of the interesting personalities who have passed on.
Over the years, we have lost a great deal of entertainers from Muna Obiekwe to Peter Buno, Sam Loco Efe to Justus Esiri, Da Grin, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, MC Loph, Enebeli Enebuwa, JT Tom West, Kefee, Zara and Goldie among others.
These ‘fallen soldiers’ cut across the movie and music industry in Nigeria and many of them left at a critical point in their careers as well as the industry’s history.
As we remember them today, we hope their lights continue to shine and inspire millions unborn in various endeavours.
We hope their dreams stay alive. Above all, we hope their souls continue to rest in eternal peace.

It is hard to understand but often times there are painful experiences like this, experiences that aren’t meant to be understood but meant to keep us focused, remind of us of the transience of life and experiences meant to shape and drive us to be the best we can and live every day as though it were our last.
As we continue to celebrate these national heroes we’ve lost over the years, we hope stakeholders in the industry immortalize them in several ways possible.
While we are at this, let’s also remember the heroes who we’ve lost thus far in 2016, entertainers whose deaths have remained almost a mystery given their deaths occurred just like yesterday.
We remember these entertainers for their various forms of uniqueness and creativity.
