Nigerian music icon 2baba was recently conferred with an honorary degree by Igbinedion University, Okada, becoming the first Nigerian artiste to receive that honour from an indigenous university.
2Baba received the honour on at the University Main Auditorium, Okada during the university’s 17th Founder’s Day Ceremony, which saw an overwhelming attendance – the auditorium was filled to maximum capacity. Special appearances were made by Prof. Sir. Victor Uwaifo and popular comedian Maleke.

The master’s degree was presented to 2Baba by the former governor of Edo state, Chief Lucky Igbinedion, who is also the deputy vice Chancellor of the University.
